In most cases you probably won't need to update your hosts file on Windows. But knowing where it is and how it works can be helpful SpletLooked everywhere, no answers. I'm assuming it's the DNS service from Windows but I'm not sure. Before it gets the internet connection it also is pretty slow and unresponsive. No problem on Linux, works flawlessly and gets internet connection ASAP. PS: I don't want to use just DNS, I want to keep my records in my hostfile.
