Web8 apr 2007 · The only time slash used JCM800's was on the recording of AFD (he used an 800 for cleans) I believe. On tour he used the stolen Plexi, and a JCM900 (I have a photo of this somewhere) and by the time the plexi was taken back he was using jubilee's. Link to comment Share on other sites. I think some of the mods listed in "the ultimate JCM-800" page are quite good and are well known for doing the trick on a JCM-800 to give it just a little extra gain and quite a bit more bass. I think some of these mods are worth it and others are best left alone. Mods 1-4 seem to be harmless enough.
