I happen to think that the simplicity of the Highway instruments is very reminiscent of Pre CBS instruments. I am just too enamored with the old style tone system to want to use the Grease bucket stuff. The delta tone simply removes the tone pot from the circuit when it's past the detent, which means the tone pot isn't holding back any high freq.
