The site has over 50,000 articles, and most of the content was generated using the original "article" node/content type...but that original node has been customized to include a … Web17 ago 2024 · Our advice: Now, Drupal 8 will also approach its end-of-life in November 2024 and Drupal 7 in November 2024. So, it is not at all wise to upgrade to Drupal 8 in such a scenario. You’ve got around a year and a half to upgrade from 7 to plan and perform the migration before you face security issues from the community.

Here's one solution to rename a content type using Kevin 's suggestion. 1) search and replace in the codebase for "event_xyz". 2) go to /config/sync directory (or where your configs are) 3) run command to search and replace in filenames. 4) delete content type "event_xyz".
